STORY: The specific Stewart Scott aesthetic roots from a project communicating themes in the famous piece of literature ‘Brave New World’. Exploring Huxley’s clinical, monotonous, twisted perception of modern sexuality is where the voice and narrative of Stewart Scott was developed. Taking pre-existing ideas that
comment on female behaviour and subverting them to create clothes that both empower and challenge how society views the female body and mind.
This translates directly into the Lenina corset by exposing
sexualised areas of the body and nipping in the waist, which can then be subverted with masculine styling and current fashion trends.
STYLING: This piece is perfect to be dressed up or down, layered over the top of a baggy hoodie with jeans, or over the top of a crisp white shirt with leather trousers.
